What are the healing & metaphysical properties of light Green Chalcedony? ?

True light Green Chalcedony ONLY please!

You can see it here: http://holygemstone.com/H6339.jpg and here: http://i14.ebayimg.com/08/i/001/1b/54/657c_1.JPG

NO:
Blue Chalcedony
Bloodstone
Chrysoprase
Adventurine
or any other stone mistaken for true light green Chalcedony!

Please indicate source with link. I need many replies so I can choose BA! 🙂 Thanks!
Thanks Surojabu. I still need more properties as that link has only 2.

PS: NO Chrysoprase I said! (Just don't want to confuse anyone else)
No, that's a fallacy about Chrysoprase. That's why my question indicates "light" GC and "NO Chrysoprase". Chryso. is opaque, dark green and blue has lots of black inclusions, see? http://www.bellerustique.com/p499.jpg

This has nothing to do with GC, despite the internet claims. One is light and translucent, the other, opaque, multi-colored and dark green! 🙂

**ADD**
Chrysoprase IS Green Chalcedony. Chalcedony has different varieties of color and when it is green, it is called Chrysoprase.

Chalcedony: A name commonly used today for any form of cryptocrystaline quartz, but in the narrow sense, it is specifically the bluish, to white, to gray variety, although it can also be brown, black, or blue. Chalcedony is found all over the earth, and has been used since prehistoric times for weapons, tools, and adornment.

“Chrysoprase: Apple green chalcedony that derives its color from nickel is chrysoprase. Ranging from nearly opaque to nearly transparent, its color spectrum includes olivey, to nearly pure greens of medium tone. Very fine, highly saturated pieces have been successfully misrepresented as Imperial jade. Most chrysoprase sold today comes from Australia. Prase is a darker, less saturated form, rarely seen, which comes from Eastern Europe. There are also very small amounts of a green chalcedony colored by chromium found in Africa, called Mtorolite.”

William asks…

Can calcedony in southern africa vary in color from dark to light?

admin answers:

Chalcedony is one of the cryptocrystalline varieties of the mineral quartz, having a waxy luster. Chalcedony may be semitransparent or translucent and is usually white to gray, grayish-blue or some shade of brown, sometimes nearly black. Other shades have been given different names. A clear red chalcedony is known as carnelian or sard; a green variety colored by nickel oxide is called chrysoprase. Prase is a dull green and onyx is black and white banded. Plasma is a bright to emerald-green chalcedony that is sometimes found with small yellow spots of jasper resembling, and Bloodstone is similar to Plasma but with red spots of jasper, thus the name Bloodstone, it is also called heliotrope. Flint is also a variety of chalcedony.

Thomas asks…

Does anyone know where I can go to buy some genuine Chalcedony, Moonstone, Onyx, Hematite, and White Opal?

I've been trying to find these everywhere, but can't. All I can find them at are online shopping sites. I want a physical store with a person I can look in the face, so I can actually tell if they're selling me the genuine article, or a guaranteed piece of crap. NO runaround, NO imitation. NO hassle. Any ideas. And be serious. Any smart-alack remarks WILL be reported. Just a forewarning. If there's one thing I don't joke about, it's gemstones.

admin answers:

Try going to a gem store or a local "rock shop".
For example, there's a store down the street where I live where the people travel around buying bulk gemstones such as opal and onyx and bring them home to sell them. I'm sure there's one around where you live! 🙂 Good luck!

Nancy asks…

I have a big lot of jewelry that I have bought on auctions. How can I sell it besides Ebay?

All the jewelry are 14k, 18k and 10k gold with precious stones and I also have a big .925 silver lot of jewelry and precious stones like chalcedonies, topaz, rubies, sapphires, emeralds, etc.
