I couldnt find that term however there is a Montana Moss Agate, most likely the term Montana green apple agate, is referring to Chrysophrase and is only a laymans term for that stone or a term used to make it sound more exciting to consumers.

I cant tell you its value, but go to a geological estimator and ask to have a carbon test done for an estimated date of formation. With that date, an accurate value will be easier to ascertain with the services of an experienced fossil valuator.

Unless you know someone who is in the business, chances are you will not be able to collect. If you do you may be putting your life in danger. And, there are no rockhounding guides to Brazil. Your best bet would be to contact a mineral dealer in Brazil and make arrangements to buy agates. Then express your interest in visiting the agate area and see what happens.

There is a big agate deposit occureing in eastern Utah, by a little goast town named Cysco, just south of the interstate. It runs east and west for miles...the locals call it 'pigon blood agate'..it is gem quality stuff.
There are 'moss agate out crops in Wyo, along the Sweetwater river, on the west and south side of the Wind river range...thats is gem quality also.
Agate is faily common out here..and elsewhere as well..ask your local gem store for areas near you..there are litterally hundreds of sites all over the country where it is common.
