I have questions for you..

Will you sell online? Will you sell jewelry or just gemstones? Will you sell to the USA? I see from your name you could be from the UAE? I lived in Dubai for 1 year and I miss all the 22kt gold! I know you have some great deals there. When you start selling, drop me a line: [email protected]

Lizzie asks…

Is the price of semi precious gemstones low in this recession?

I'm thinking of buying colored stones in bulk i think prices are pretty low right now but i'm not sure

admin answers:

I agree with Bert don't buy them unless you are certain you know what you are buying some people make amazing fakes that not many people know the difference. Also are you sure you will eventually be able to on sell them and to who?

Laura asks…

What does the term "semi-precious" in gemstones mean?

I'm making jewelry and looking for real stones, and most of them on the labels say semi-precious, what in the world does it mean ? I tried to Google it but didn't get a straight forward answer. So please just let me know what does it mean? Does it mean that the stones are fake? Or is it just a description in what category these stones are ? Like precious - would be diamonds= expensive, rare. ?
So, these stones are real then ?

admin answers:

Yeah, you got it. Semi-precious stones are pretty - jewelry quality - but not as rare. For example, turquoise is not rare, but it polishes up pretty enough for jewelry work.

George asks…

How do I sell my loose semi-precious stones (gemstones), besides eBay?

admin answers:

Go to your local jeweler but I am sure you know that will not give you retail. If you know what the stones are worth, you can start them at a price on ebay that way you know you what they will go for
