Carol asks…

Can someone tell me how this sounds??!?

I have class at 1:30 and i had to write a descriptive essay on an object and i picked a fish tank with pictures in it...

What better way is there to capture special moments but through pictures? Once you have captured those moments in pictures place them where everyone can see. But who would ever think to place them in a fish tank? Its sole purpose was to hold fish so what do you do when the water dries up and the fish are gone? It is a great way to display our family’s special moments. Thanks grandma I really enjoy looking at the collage of pictures; it brings back great memories. The four main picture memories I remember is the picture of me and my intermediate family taking an Easter photo, my grandfather’s military photo, my little cousin Myah photo, and my uncle and aunt wedding photo.

As I walk through the front doors of a multi-colored stone row home on Payson Street I see an array of colors. Towards my left in a cozy corner a long brown wooden table made itself at home. On the table rested a collection of portraits of my brothers, and cousins. The faces in the pictures aged with time. I look straight ahead and I keep walking; stopping at a clear, square 25 gallon glass fish tank. This fish tank was once my uncle’s. It sat downstairs in the living room of my grandmother’s house. This fish tank once held brilliantly colored fish; now, it holds pictures. Pictures of me, wonderful moments- family portraits. Pictures of my aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers; what a pleasant sight. I look through the glass and analyze all the memories. A smile crept across my face as I glimpse at a picture in the corner of the fish tank. I see my mother, father, brothers and myself. I remember that day as if it were yesterday. I was seven; we were on our way home from church. My mom had arranged for us to take a family portrait. I was wearing a light pink dress with white shoes and stockings with a blue trench coat over it. My older brother wore a solid blue suit. My father had on a sandy brown suit; my mother wore a light blue skirt suit. My little brother, whom was in my father’s arms, wore a black, yellow and red sweat suit. The sun was beaming bright that day. And as the camera flashed the sun struck my eyes. Needless to say, there I was, at the wrong place at the time, because by the end of the day, the picture was taken with a mug in my face. I kept looking around the photo filled fish tank and stopped at one that almost immediately caught my attention. It was an old picture of my grandfather, John Johnson; who was 6’2’’ a Private First Class 0fficer, who fought in World War II. There was another picture of a precious little girl who was only one. She wore a beautiful light pink dress with ruffles around the bottom. She sat on a white unicorn she wore a smile as bright as day. There were many other pictures in there. There was one of my Aunt and Uncle on their wedding day; which is also my grandmother’s birthday. My aunt wore and royal blue dress with a matching hat and my uncle wore a white shirt with a black and grey sweater over it along with a pair of beige khaki’s. The wedding wasn’t anything big. It was a very intimate warm setting with close family; it was officiated in a court.

Staring at this old fish tank I realized something. If this fish tank was ever to be sold, a price could never be listed. It displayed the perfect family; my family. And even the wealthiest man on earth would envy me. I have something that money can't buy. I have happy memories of a loving family, growing together celebrating Birthdays, Thanksgivings, Easter, Christmas, and New Years.

Sandy asks…

What do you think of the Hopi Prophecies?

Koyaanisqatsi which is pronounced ko.yaa.nis.qatsi which means 1. Crazy life. 2.Life in turmoil. 3. Life in unbalance. 4.Life disintegrating. 5. A state of life that calls for another way of living.

Theres a wonderful film called Koyaanisqatsi that uses images and video in a way that shows how crazy this way of life is and how seriously wrong we have got it.

Here are three Hopi prophecies that were listed at the end of this film called Koyaanisqatsi

1. If we dig precious things from the land we will invite disaster

2. Near the day of purification there will be cobwebs spun back and forth in the sky.

3. A container of ashes might one day be thrown from the sky which could burn the land and boil the oceans.

The words of White Feather, a Hopi of the ancient Bear Clan:

“The Fourth World shall end soon, and the Fifth World will begin. This the elders everywhere know. The Signs over many years have been fulfilled, and so few are left.

“This is the First Sign: We are told of the coming of the white-skinned men, like Pahana, but not living like Pahana men who took the land that was not theirs. And men who struck their enemies with thunder.

“This is the Second Sign: Our lands will see the coming of spinning wheels filled with voices. In his youth, my father saw this prophecy come true with his eyes — the white men bringing their families in wagons across the prairies.”

“This is the Third Sign: A strange beast like a buffalo but with great long horns, will overrun the land in large numbers. These White Feather saw with his eyes — the coming of the white men’s cattle.”

“This is the Fourth Sign: The land will be crossed by snakes of iron.”

“This is the Fifth Sign: The land shall be criss-crossed by a giant spider’s web.”

“This is the Sixth sign: The land shall be criss-crossed with rivers of stone that make pictures in the sun.”

“This is the Seventh Sign: You will hear of the sea turning black, and many living things dying because of it.”

“This is the Eight Sign: You will see many youth, who wear their hair long like my people, come and join the tribal nations, to learn their ways and wisdom.

“And this is the Ninth and Last Sign: You will hear of a dwelling-place in the heavens, above the earth, that shall fall with a great crash. It will appear as a blue star. Very soon after this, the ceremonies of my people will cease.

“These are the Signs that great destruction is coming. The world shall rock to and fro. The white man will battle against other people in other lands — with those who possessed the first light of wisdom. There will be many columns of smoke and fire such as White Feather has seen the white man make in the deserts not far from here. Only those which come will cause disease and a great dying. Many of my people, understanding the prophecies, shall be safe. Those who stay and live in the places of my people also shall be safe. Then there will be much to rebuild. And soon — very soon afterward — Pahana will return. He shall bring with him the dawn of the Fifth World. He shall plant the seeds of his wisdom in their hearts. Even now the seeds are being planted. These shall smooth the way to the Emergence into the Fifth World.

Such wisdom and such insight but modern man knows best I guess, after all modern man has computers and it doesn't matter if we've only been around for a little amount of time. What do you think of the Hopi Prophecies?
Only serious answers please.

There are many prophetic signs in the world today. Perhaps because we have so much information available to us now, so quickly.

Other ones are the vision at Garabandal
The prophecy at Fatima
The apparition in Rwanda just before the massacres.
The on-going apparition of Our Lady in Medjugorje.

admin answers:

The sexy/naughty one which you described will turn him on ( honestly it would turn any guy on). The first one though might or might not turn him on considering what type of guy he is. If he he's a sweet guy that's nice and caring it will. But if he is anything but that type of guy then no It won't work. But thn be careful about using the sexy one too. Because it kinda implies ... No i take that back it definatly implies you want to have sex with him. Just think about what kind of guy he is first before you choose.

Richard asks…

Can I fix this this, Do I stand a chance with her still?

Hey all I was wondering if I could have some help with a lesbian friend of mine.

We’ve been friends for a little over a year. At the time we met, I was in the closet, and completely opposed to dating anyone. I was worried about getting outted and removed from my church etc…it was pretty bad.
Since then I have come out to my parents, moved out of my parents home and I am settled on my own. She was a really good friend to me through all of this. Being supportive and all.

Anyway, at the time I was in the closet, she asked me if I would ever date her, and I told her no. I had no intention of allowing myself to fall in love with a woman because of all the problems it would cause, so I wouldn’t date.

I know….I was so dumb.

I was really attracted to her at the time. Just scared.

No to long before I came out I finally did tell her. I told her not to respond or say anything, just to listen to me and I told her that I liked her. Her response was that it was the last thing she ever expected me to say.

Nothing came from it. I just told her. She hasnt mentioned it.

Since my “outing” of myself I asked her why she felt I was single and she said it was because of religion, well that is what scared her at least. That was why she wouldn’t go out with me.

Some time later, I was drinking and texting her and complaining about a bisexual woman I was talking to at the time and I told her to find me a woman who “was smart or smart than me, likes children, is a lesbian etc….” and proceeded to list everything I wanted in a woman (why is it that we get specific when we are drunk and say exactly what we want) and she responded that she was “not smarter than me but had a 3.9, likes kid and is a lesbian…” and
I sent her and LOL.
And she said I was describing her
I said LOL again
And she said “wait…you are laughing at me?”
And I said I thought she was joking
And she said “I was serious.
“I said sorry I had been drinking” and she said “I am drunk also”
I went to eat and her she called and hung up, when I called back she told me her phone had accidentally called me because I was the last perosn she texted…and she didn’t mention anything she said, but just talked about her cold and how she needed medicine.

She never mentioned that text conversation to me again.

Tonight she told me she think the girl she is talking to is a player, and I told her that the girl likes her would be insane not to and that she is a catch.
She said I was also. And that one mans trash is aanothers treasure.
I asked was she calling me trash
She said no she was referring to herself
I told her that she wasn’t trash and while is wasn’t platinum she was a precious stone.
She laughed and said thanks for being honest.
I told her I was playing, but that she was wonderful and anyone who has her is one lucky woman.
She said same to me and “keep your head up beautiful”

She called me pretty the other day…which is weird..no one calls me that. LOL.

Anyway…I don’t know what to do about her. I really like her, but….its…pretty futile I think. I told her several months ago how I felt, but she hasn’t moved yet. I am wondering if she just doesn’t feel that way and I should be satisfied with the friendship?

Helen asks…

How much of INDIA's movable wealth like GOLD, DIMOND have been taken away by British ?

HINDU and MUSLIM indian- kingdom and FAMILIES used to store valuable like GOLD, STONE, DIMOND in there house and temple.

During 200 years ruling of INDIA by BRITISH, they have taken many of those. They also have taken spices, cultivated materials, precious forest materials, etc, etc ( .... long list)

admin answers:

I feel certain the British, who clearly exploited India for years, carried off all of this movable wealth they could get their hands on. I doubt it would be possible to find an accurate tally of it all, though research may be able to provide some estimates.
That is not to single out the British as the only greedy people on earth. For thousands of years many people with the military strength have been taking movable wealth from those who they could dominate.
What did the Mughals do when they dominated India?
Of course it isn't "right" morally, but that's the way it has been.
