Pandora beads are too expensive! Where can I find good quality alternatives?

It's not only Pandora, I know Chamilla and Troll beads can be ridiculous in pricing too! I'm looking for good quality Murano, Sterling Silver, Swarovski Crystal, Brazillian Agate beads and etc. Can anyone help with this? I'm looking to purchase them online.

admin answers:

Hi Jane,

I recommend buying Persona charms and beads. Here's their site: http://www.personaworld.com .They sell high quality beads online and I'm sure they have all of the types you've listed and likely more.

Hope that helps,

Sam

Mark asks…

How to drill holes?

Lacking a drill press, how would you suggest I drill holes in stained glass, agates, metal or ceramics? I do have a Dremel, Rotozip and drill driver.

admin answers:

If the drill driver is a variable speed, use it, with a carbide bit, or diamond tip bit. Or check on a glass drill at the hardware
in metal use a high speed drill bit,
drilling glass or ceramics requires a SLOW speed and lots of lubricant, like water or oil, and a light pressure,

Where can I find a glass/ resin cast table with thundereggs in it?

I had a great coffee table until I accidentally shattered it, it was red and full of split thundereggs which are just like agates in the middle. I can't find anywhere to purchase one and I'm starting to think the table was one of a kind. Any tips on locating one? Thanks

admin answers:

I was searching for something similar as well and i came upon one that might be what you are looking for. Its a Red Noguchi Coffee Table.

I found a rock with a fossil in it in Kentucky?

I found a rock that approximately 4-5 inches circumference in it and embedded is several fossils of small seashell and one large seashell (about the size of a quarter) In the mountains of Kentucky.
The rock looks as if it also has some red agate in it also.

Would this have any monetary value in it, as it would be rare to find a fossil of a seashell here anyways.
it is a regular seashell imprint--however kentucky is far from any ocean.

admin answers:

It is not worth anything but collecting fossils is a fun hobby.

The area where you found the fossil was once in the ocean about 300 millions years ago.

I am posting a link to some interesting sites.
