Steven asks…
I have a Fire Agate stone around my neck. What does this stone mean?
admin answers:
I think it means protection, and increased sexuality. I may be wrong. But I think thats it.
William asks…
Is this river stone I found an Agate?
I asked a question earlier about a strange orange river stone I found. It was found on the Hiwassee River in Tennessee. Come to find out it is a quartzite stone. After doing a bit of research it seems Agate is the Tennessee state stone and can be found in streams here. I also read Agates often form in roundish nodules as they are formed by volcanic means.
I know very little of stones etc. So I am hoping someone with a bit of geology knowledge here will know. Id like to know if I did find a softball sized chunk of Agate however.
Heres a link to the image.

admin answers:
Agates are quartz rocks, so yes it is.

I doubt your rock is quartzite though. That would make it metamorphic, and it looks more like calchedony. But just in case, here are the links:

Linda asks…
Is there a meaning to the colors of the stones, on the Ephod?
Exodus 39:10 Then they mounted four rows of precious stones on it. In the first row there was a ruby, a topaz and a beryl; 11 in the second row a turquoise, a sapphire and an emerald; 12 in the third row a jacinth, an agate and an amethyst; 13 in the fourth row a chrysolite, an onyx and a jasper. They were mounted in gold filigree settings. 14 There were twelve stones, one for each of the names of the sons of Israel, each engraved like a seal with the name of one of the twelve tribes.
admin answers:
Of course each stone represents one of the twelve tribes of Israel; but I am not aware of the COLORS representing anything. And I have never done a study that indicates which stone is for which tribe -- it might be interesting though.
