This California State Park is possibly one of the best camping spots if you like dramatic ocean vistas. It is in Northern California in Humboldt County. The beach is called "Agate Beach" as it is common for people to walk the shoreline and find beautiful agate stones at the surf line. The park setting and stone grotto is ideal for weddings and other special occasions. The campsites are very private, other than the abundant wildlife (Steller's Jays were everywhere) but there is no electricity, wi-fi or showers available and the nightly rate with a small senior discount was still a hefty a night. Still a very beautiful and quiet place to spend the night.
