NORTHSHORE STREAMS

"Northshore Streams" is a public artwork that depicts every river and stream flowing into the Lake Superior Basin from Duluth, MN on up to the Canadian Border. The artwork consists of panels that are composed of post consumer recycled paper and cardboard, and forest stewardship coucil certified pulp. It is hung on a 108' long by 12' high steel frame, which will maintain a rusted finish to acknowledge the area's iron ore mining history. The large concentric circles in the artwork represent the Lake Superior agate, Minnesota's state gemstone, which can be found in abundance throughout the area.
