William asks…

why do people believe that the bible is true? have they not read it?

here is an example....

Revelation 17
17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
17:2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.....

Robert asks…

Why were the Translators Of the 1611 KJV bible Guess at scripture meaning?

In The original Preface to the King James Version of 1611the translators themselves admitted there were many Hebrew and Greek words (lexicons) and whole sentences Thay did not understand, Thay were forced to GUESS there meanings

REASONS MOVING US TO SET DIVERSITY OF SENSES IN THE MARGIN, WHERE THERE IS GREAT PROBABILITY FOR EACH; Some peradventure would have no variety of senses to be set in the margin, lest the authority of the Scriptures for deciding of controversies by that show of uncertainty should somewhat be shaken. But we hold their judgment not to be so sound in this point....It hath pleased God in His divine providence, here and there to scatter words and sentences of that difficulty and doubtfulness, not in doctrinal points that concern salvation (for in such it hath been vouched that the Scriptures are plain), but in matters of less moment, that fearfulness would better beseem us than confidence, ...There be many words in the Scriptures which be never found there but once (having neither brother nor neighbor [ipax legomena], as the Hebrews speak), so that we cannot be holden by conference of places. Again, there be many rare names of certain birds, beasts and precious stones, etc., concerning which the Hebrews themselves are so divided among themselves for judgment, that they may seem to have defined this or that rather because they would say something than because they were sure of that which they said, as St. Jerome somewhere saith of the Septuagint. Now in such a case, doth not a margin do well to admonish the reader to seek further, and not to conclude or dogmatize upon this or that peremptorily (I.E. Final; absolute)? For as it is a fault of incredulity, to doubt of those things that are evident, so to determine of such things as the Spirit of God hath left (even in the judgment of the judicious) questionable, can be no less than presumption...so diversity of signification and sense in the margin, where the text is not so clear, must needs do good--yea, is necessary, as we are persuaded." [From the "THE TRANSLATORS TO THE READER" The Original Preface to the King James Version of 1611 (The familiar "Epistle Dedicatory" to King James I, printed at the beginning of many current K.J.V. editions, is often mistakenly thought to be the preface of this translation. In actuality, the true preface is a lengthy section entitled "The Translators to the Reader") The above text, modernized as to spelling and punctuation, has been checked and corrected against the reprint of the 1611 edition of the "King James Version of 1611" by Thomas Nelson.]

English Bible translations has been an interest of mine for over 20 years. I'm not a fan of the KJV because of archaic English. However, it was an excellent translation in its day. Any claim that it is not faithful to the original Greek and Hebrew is groundless.

There is no essential Christian belief that is not fully attested to in the KJV. Essential beliefs are supported by multiple passages. So even if one passage isn't entirely clear, several others are.

In the 400 years since the KJV was created, many archaeological discoveries have been made improving our understanding of the ancient world and obtaining better manuscripts to work with.

Newer translations benefit from this knowledge and eliminate many of the problems of the old, venerable, KJV.

Donna asks…

Born Again Christians , Can you prove purgatory isent in bible?

"...for no one can lay a foundation other than the one that there is, namely, Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay or straw, the work of each one will come to light, for the Day will disclose it. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire [itself] will test the quality of each one's work. If the work stands that someone built upon the foundation, that person will receive a wage. But if someone's work is burned up, that one will suffer loss; the person will be saved, but only through fire." (1 Corinthians 3:11-15)

admin answers:

1. Hell: A realm, in the earth, where devils, whom are spirits of the giants, and evil watchers [evil ex-guardian angels] are located at. Not all of them are there. Some do walk the earth… in spirit form only.

Giants are the deceased hybrid children of the sons of men and sons of God. Giants were destroyed in the flood. They reappeared again but were finally destroyed by Moses, Joshua, David, & Caleb.

Satan is not in that realm.

That realm is locked. If it were opened, the sons of men would be decimated in a few days. Only Christ, the appointed Judge, has been awarded the keys to open and close it.

2. The Dead [Zone]: A realm, in the earth, were all those who died the first death are currently “sleeping”, both good and evil.

The exceptions are the 24 prophets/apostles and some [or all] of the saints Christ took with Him when He ascended to 3rd Heaven.

3. The Lake of Fire: The final destination of all devils, including satan, and most of those that are a “sleep”. This is another realm, in the earth, which is currently uninhabited by all beings. No souls or angelic beings are in that realm yet. This realm will be visible during the 1,000 rein of Christ and/or the final transformation of all the sons of men into the sons of God.

4. Purgatory: A place of suffering in Roman Catholic doctrine. The zone in which the souls remain until they have expiated their sins before they go to heaven. Note: this realm cannot be found any where in the scriptures. It is not in the bible. This is a false doctrine.

Sandra asks…

did you know that the bombing of libya is in the bible as 'an end times prophesy'?

ok folks i think we are close to the end. this war on libya is part of end time prophesy. let me start with a few scriptures....DANIEL 11 vs 16..and the invader will do as he pleases and no one will be able to withstand his attack. he will rise to power in the beautiful land that he captured (america) and it will be completely under his control.
DANIEL 11 VS 21 HE will invade when people are feeling secure and he will seize the kingdom using false promises (broken treaties with the indians)
DANIEL 11 VS 23..after an alliance has been made with him he will act deceitfully and rise to power with only a few people. vs 24 when people feel secure, he will invade the richest parts of the provinces. he will distribute loot and wealth to his followers (the boston land grab). he will invent new ways of attacking fortifications (bombs etc)
daniel 11 vs 35..people will be defeated in order to be looted, purified, refined and made to act white (cultural fascism)
DANIEL 11 VS 37 HE WILL have no interest in any god because he will make himself greater than everyone else. vs 38..instead he will honor the god of fortresses. with gold, silver, precious stones and other expensive things he will honor a god his ancestors never heard of. with the help of a foreign god he will deal with strong fortresses. he will give high honors to those who acknowledge him (which is why britain is always willing to be a lapdog), make them rulers over many people and distribute land for a price.
DANIEL 11 VS 40 in the end times he will invade countries, overwhelm them and pass through their land vs 41 he will invade the beautiful land and tens of thousands will be defeated vs 42 he will use his powers against many countries vs 43 he will control gold and silver treasures.' LIBYA AND SUDAN WILL SURRENDER TO HIM' vs 44 but news from the north and east will frighten him (russia and china). he will leave very angry to destroy and exterminate many. vs 45 when he comes to his end there will be no one to help him.
it mentions LIBYA in daniels 11 vs 43

admin answers:

Wow, I can genuinely see the words LIBYA and QADDAFI right there in scripture.

Carol asks…

why is there no book in the bible for the mother of Jesus?

Mary was the first disciple, she was chosen and she OBEYED! A miracle in itself that she was not stoned,if this precious, holy woman,MOTHER!,of GOD! answered her call, why even to this day there,is no book of mary, she is not to be placed over Jesus,in any way ,but I do honor her. Peace be unto you.

admin answers:

There is no book about Mary in the bible because women are considered second class citizens in the Abrahamic faiths. Hell until the 20th century they were considered the chatel of their father's and then their husbands.
