Richard asks…

What does this choking dream symbolize?

I dreamt I was choking on precious stones, like large gems and pearls. Everyone was watching me choke and I reached into my throat and pulled out the gems. I woke up quite disturbed.

admin answers:

It means you have pearls of wisdom to share but stop yourself from doing so.(Choking on the words or "gems") You only share your gems and pearls of wisdom if they are forcibly extricated from you.
Hope this helped.

Why is Foreign Aid a given to countries whose leaders are corrupt?

When the crisis in Haiti hit the people demanded assistance in Foreign Aid. Americans gave unconditionally to the cause. Why were Americans committed to help despite the already depressed economic situation faced at home? America receives little to no aid in assistance when disasters strike. Should we expect Foreign Aid?

What is your opinion?

Also, how do you explain nations whom leaders are corrupt the people do little or nothing to rise against yet ask assistance with feeding their poor, their hungry and their sick. Nations rich with oil, semi precious stones ect. What are your suggestions on what needs to be done to remedy the situation.

Thanks everyone in advance for your responses. Its a homework assignment. I hope to gain as much input as possible.

admin answers:

I thought you were talking about Israel, pardon me. But, --- If the US govt. Did not deal with bad guys there would be very few dealings at all. The aim of aiding Haiti is the hope that some of these donations will trickle downhill to the people who need it. Very little will but we get good press coverage.

Jenny asks…

Is it best to purchase a diamond engagement ring at a local jeweler or a large chain? Why?

I am bit of a novice when it comes to precious stones, but was wondering about the pros and cons involved in either place? (warranty, service, quality etc...)

admin answers:

Wait a minute Baby!

Hey, this is the year 2008 going into 2009...your local jeweler lets talk about him he has NO magic source for diamonds. Think about it, the local guy sells gold, silver, pearls, puka shells, whatever he can get his hands on and yes diamonds.....does this make him a diamond expert? Maybe he just wants to sell stuff and earn a living no sin in that , but is it the best place for you to go? But wait where does he go?

I will tell you he uses a computer just like you and finds a dealer in the NYC Diamond Disctrict....sure just like I am one of them (shameless promotion I admit), BUT , if you understand he is getting them in the year 2009 just like everybody else you too can get the same deal.

Its overly simplistic , and a harsh dose of the truth but if you visit my website you will see even some small chains order from my company. Hey lets take it a step farther, Zales, Kay Jewelers they have good diamonds, sure they are not Tiffany Priced, or Harry Winston prices, but they are basically decent mass priced diamonds but again going direct you can get a great deal.

Lots of people dont know this but 1 out of 3 diamonds sold locally and in chains is enhanced (cleaned up with a laser) to make them look better than their original state..thus, the final result is always the grade shown so if you cant tell the difference you have no way of knowing what youa are buying and all sellers are selling, thats right selling so forget the 4'cs or thinking of them as investments.

Focus on getting a white diamond , a good diamond, and you will do well. Studies show the more you research the more you will spend.

And of course shameless self promotion visit my website I even have a video of me personally on the site http://www.freddydiamonds.com again selfish self promotion...you would do the same thing thanks

Robert asks…

What is the difference in price between a Sapphire, Diamond, Pearl, Ruby and an Emerald?

Hello! I nned to know on a scale, which one of these precious stones is less expensive to most expensive. Thank You!

admin answers:

You forgot Opal, but its ok, the price is set by Cartells. Pearl is the lowest because they can be Cultured or grown. The Diamond is a rare stone becuase of the enourmous amounts of pressure over the vast amount of time that it takes to form one. Ruby and Emerald is closer in GeoThermal structure to a diamond, but are colored becuase of the elements and time that has occured in the makeing.
