Where to find smooth basalt stones in Wisconsin?
Hi, I am currently a massage therapist student and I am in Hot Stone class. I would like to find my own basalt rocks instead of buying them so I am "connected" to my stones. I was wondering if anyone in Wisconsin might know of a good spot to find them. I live in central Wisconsin and it's about 2-3 hour drive to either of the Great lakes and am willing to drive to either but would like to have some ideas where to look before I drive that far. I looked around here by the Wisconsin River but didn't have much luck. Will look harder once snow and ice is gone though. Any help would be appreciated!

By the time you drive to and from a location you have lost a customer of two. You also have to walk around and hopefully find the stones. That is the reason I picked the sites below so you to check out for a reasonable price.
