William asks…

For you Christians: Here's your precious bible.?

The bible says in one part That women are pretty much just slaves for men.

(Genesis 3:16): Adam's role is to be Eve's master. The King James Version (KJV), New International Version (NIV), and Revised Standard Version (RSV) use the term "rule" to describe Adam's role over Eve: "...thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee." The Living Bible uses the term "master". The Modern Language Bible uses "dominate". By implication, all of their descendents are would have the same power imbalance between spouses.

Women who are raped are killed

(Deuteronomy 22:23-24 NAB)
If within the city a man comes upon a maiden who is betrothed, and has relations with her, you shall bring them both out of the gate of the city and there stone them to death: the girl because she did not cry out for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbors wife.

those who do not listen to priests are Killed

(Deuteronomy 17:12 NLT)Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel.

FORCE people to believe in God

(2 Chronicles 15:12-13 NAB)They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

Gays Should be killed

(Romans 1:24-32 NLT)So God let them go ahead and do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other's bodies. Instead of believing what they knew was the truth about God, they deliberately chose to believe lies. So they worshiped the things God made but not the Creator himself, who is to be praised forever. Amen. That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relationships with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men and, as a result, suffered within themselves the penalty they so richly deserved. When they refused to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their evil minds and let them do things that should never be done. Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, fighting, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip. They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They are forever inventing new ways of sinning and are disobedient to their parents. They refuse to understand, break their promises, and are heartless and unforgiving. They are fully aware of God's death penalty for those who do these things, yet they go right ahead and do them anyway. And, worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.

All straight from the bible. Those who are for these rules are truly naive and ignorant. Does your god sound so justified and loving now?

Can we say that was Old Testament? And God told the people what HAD to be done to make themselves a nation? Life was tough then, really tough. It still is, but we have grown soft, just like Romans did and the "barbarians" over-ran them. It will happen to us too.

Jesus came and he said he would destroy the old order- the old "religion" and rebuild that Temple in 3 days- Jesus referred to himself. The old Jewish rites and rituals and old laws are over with.

And women, being a slave of men??? You need to go read "gods ideal woman" from Proverbs.

That woman had maids- she was "house despot", ruling over her household with authority. She bought and sold merchandise in the markets. She used HER money to buy and sell property too. Hardly a woman that was kept at home and subjugated, is it? She looked well to running the house, while her husband took care of HIS part.

According to Bible prophecy will gold remain a valuable asset even until the end of the world?

Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land. - Zephaniah 1:28.

Revelation 18:16 - And saying, Alas, alas that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!

"People will flee to caves in the rocks
and to holes in the ground
from the fearful presence of the LORD
and the splendor of his majesty,
when he rises to shake the earth.
In that day people will throw away
to the moles and bats
their idols of silver and idols of gold,
which they made to worship.
They will flee to caverns in the rocks
and to the overhanging crags
from the fearful presence of the LORD
and the splendor of his majesty,
when he rises to shake the earth.

Stop trusting in mere humans,
who have but a breath in their nostrils.
Why hold them in esteem? "

Isaiah 2:19-22

"Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?”

Revelation 6;15-17

I believe these two passages refer to the same time.

Bible Scolars, what does it mean in verse 14 about walking up and down in the midst of the stones of fire?

Ezekiel 28:11-19 (King James Version)

11Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

12Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

13Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

14Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

15Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

16By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

17Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

18Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

19All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

The message is addressed to The king of Tyrus ...YES..but
The power behind the kings agenda is inspired of satan.
So this message is addresses to the actual influence that drives king of Tyrus...(satan himself)
Understand that the reason why satan is a master deciever is because he exibits
Bright and attractive physicality.
The term "nacash" that gets translated serpent means "the shining one"
The latin term "lucifer " means light bearer.
This should explain why this message
has some terms that speak of beauty in it.

Now the original question I'm not sure about.
At first I though it was referring to the way that an ancient ritual covenant was carried out.
Where an offering was split and separated apart
and the two parties making this covenant would walk
figure eight's between the offering repeating the terms of the agreement.

I can't answer this question the way I thought.sorry

Paul asks…

Where in the Bible does it say that we will meet our dead relatives again?

I've been asked to speak at a funeral and a quote about this would be really useful.

So far I can only see in Revelations that heaven is made of precious stones and we all stand around singing God's praises 24/7 for eternity - it doesn't say anything about standing next to someone you know!

I expect Jesus said something comforting - help much appreciated!
Thanks - if it's not too much trouble could you give the exact quotes (if there are any)
