James asks…

Question for gemmologists?

what do you think the lighting (atmosphere ) would look like in an area reflecting off of gemstones like : an jasper,a sapphire ,a chalcedony,an emerald,a sardonyx,a sardius, a chrsolyte , an beryl,an topaz,a chrysoprasus,an jacinth and an amethyst ,those stones having been cut and polished to their greatest brilliancy (mind you some of these stones i could not find their name or counter-part name ) .What would your hypothetical estimation of the atmosphere would appear to be if there was a wall with 12 foundations consistently made up of these stones ; one particular stone for each foundation or made up of the same stones for each foundation?

admin answers:

Funny you should ask. My daughter is a jeweler and we were talking about this one day. Can't wait to see it,don't think this frail body could contain the joy caused by just being there in the presence of all Gods wonderment. See ya someday!

Linda asks…

Will there literally be streets of gold in Heaven? (Revelations 21-18:21)?

Revelations 21

18And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.

19And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;

20The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.

21And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.

admin answers:

"And the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass": it was made or built of gold; its parts, buildings, houses, and palaces, were all of gold, and that the best; and it was like to transparent glass; that is, either the city, as most copies read, or the gold; for the Alexandrian copy reads, and so the Vulgate Latin version; the gold of which it was is different from common gold; and as this city, the new Jerusalem, designs the saints, the precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, the inhabitants of the new earth; this denotes the solidity, excellency, and preciousness of them, the rich and happy state they will be in, as well as their purity and freedom from all sin and corruption, and the clear knowledge of things they themselves will have, and others will have of them; their hearts and actions will be open to all; nor will this gold have any rust upon it any more, or ever be changed, and become dim.

Like unto clear glass - The word rendered "glass" in this place - ὕαλος hualos - occurs in the New Testament only here and in Revelation 21:21. It means, properly, "anything transparent like water"; as, for example, any transparent stone or gem, or as rock-salt, crystal, glass (Robinson, Lexicon). Here the meaning is, that the golden city would be so bright and burnished that it would seem to be glass reflecting the sunbeams. Would the appearance of a city, as the sun is setting, when the reflection of its beams from thousands of panes of glass gives it the appearance of burnished gold, represent the idea here? If we were to suppose a city made entirely of glass, and the setting sunbeams falling on it, it might convey the idea represented here. It is certain that, as nothing could be more magnificent, so nothing could more beautifully combine the two ideas referred to here - that of "gold and glass."

Ken asks…

This is different from the other question. How does this book plan sound? It's based on my 12 principles.?

The purpose of my book: I am going to argue that your success in life is determined by how you witness love and power to others.

-Everybody knows that when you go to a job interview, you need to apply make up, wear professional attire, keep facial and physical gestures to a minimum, poise a smile that is magnetic but not overdone and come in dress shoes or heels
-This is the law of presentation at a professional level
-What the world doesn’t tell you is that you must also present yourself to the world at a moral level
-This is the law of witnessing
-Professional presentation is the key to attracting job security at a standard place for a certain period of time and helps you in a limited scope at a limited level when combined with other qualities.
-Moral presentation helps your entire life, in an unlimited scope and an unlimited level and encompasses all other qualities, because it creates them.
- It is the the key to attracting positive karma, friends, health, inner peace and harmony, joy, and ideal life long love interests into your life. It moves you from the ghettos in Phildelphia into the Ivy League schools in the states. The power of moral presentation is exponential: there is no limit to how good your life can get if you obey it and no limit to how bad your life can get if you disobey it.
- Think of the universal consciousness as a pond. Every stone that you drop in this pond, leads to a vibrational energy that emits to the others in the pond and influences the direction of the fish within the pond. This pond that you imagine is your mind, and the metaphysical level in which your mind interacts with theirs.

admin answers:

You make a point (though few men wear makeup before going to a job interview), but I do home that as you fill out your outline, that you will word things in the positive, rather than focus on all of the "Do Nots"

thanks to the christians, I find the word "witnessing" offensive, so if you want to reach a wider audience, you should change that.

Ruth asks…

This question is for constructive people who have good intentions?

I want to write about the 12 tribes of Israel and I'm going to say that keeping these laws is the key to your success in life. I want to know if you believe this would be a good book for me?

Thanks for answering

admin answers:

It all sounds lovely, but ..don't conceal anger or hostility? Yeah, that'd work REAL well at the average family Thanksgiving or Christmas get-together. Half of what keeps human society together is keeping one's ill-will under control.

And 'don't pervert God's will?"

Define "perversion," please. The trouble with this is, WHO DECIDES what "god's will" is? Same with "warring against the kingdom of god." Every two-bit preacher thinks he's got all the answers.

No, thanks. "Do unto others" and "love one another" is really all that's required. Funny how those are so hard to follow.
